Boss: "We Have To Carry On Being Consistent"

25 November 2019

Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell says his side have already proved that they are more than capable of going anyway in League Two and win the game. The Alex have suffered just two away defeats this season at Newport and recently at Northampton but even those two games could have ended different such was our performances on the day.

Artell told crewealex.net: “We have been more consistent this season and that is reflected in the league position. We were consistent last season at home and were consistent away, but at the opposite side of the spectrum. We knew we had to chance our away results.

“We have improved the results away from home and the players believe if that they perform as well as they can then they can win anywhere.

“That is the mindset we will have at Forest Green tomorrow night. We always want to win every game we play in.

“We want to stay in those top places for as long as we can and you only do that by picking up results on a consistent basis. We needed to back on the horse against Morecambe and we did that.

He added: “You have to keep going and when you get to end of March and April you start to count on one hand how many potential wins you may need. We are in November so there is a long way to go yet but it is all to play for.”
