Artell: "Nothing Has Changed We Are Always Looking For Improvement"

4 November 2019

Boss determined to dust ourselves off and go again in Cup week.

David Artell says that ‘nothing has changed’ following Saturday’s disappointing 1-0 defeat to Port Vale.

The Alex boss has reiterated that he has been saying that elements of our performance need to improve over a number of weeks.

Crewe suffered their fourth defeat of the season at the hands to our near neighbours and Artell says that his side will dust themselves down and go again, starting with Everton Under-21s tomorrow night.

David told the club’s official website: “That is professional sport. It has the knack of kicking you when you don’t expect it but it is how you react to that. We will pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and go again. That is football and it is an advantage to have a game tomorrow night.

“As I’ve been saying for a long time now, there is no-one here getting carried away and we won’t go low because we have been saying that there is room for improvement.

“We need to improve and we have been saying that when we were winning games and top of the league, so nothing has massively changed on that score.

“We will go through things, point things out and do the work to improve.”
