Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell will assess how goalkeeper Will Jaaskelainen is feeling once he has returned from International duty before he decides who will face Northampton Town at the weekend.
The Crewe number one has once again earned a call-up for Finland Under-21s and they face their Romanian counterparts later this week, but once he has returned from his travels, Artell will assess how he is before he makes his decision between him and Dave Richards.
Richards has been a fine understudy when Jaaskelainen has been away on International duty, and has helped us to away victories at the likes of Grimsby and Carlisle.
Artell said: “We are blessed with two goalkeepers here and I have confidence in whoever plays.
“Will is away with Finland this week, so when we gets back later on in the week, we will see how he is and take it from there.
“The competition between the two of them is good and that is what we have been able to create all over the pitch.”
