David Artell took the opportunity to watch Saturday’s opponents Northampton Town in FA Cup action at Chippenham Town on Sunday and the Alex boss says that he picked up things from watching Keith Curle’s side live.

The Cobblers won comfortably 3-0 with our former centre-forward Vadaine Oliver scoring twice.

Ahead of our trip to the Sixfields Stadium this weekend, the Alex boss said: “Every team is different and Northampton have a certain way of playing. They have a very good and experienced manager with Keith there and it will be a stern test going there.

“They have their strengths and weaknesses like all teams and it was good to be able to watch them. You always pick up things when you watch an opponent and Sunday was no different.

“There were little things that we saw and you always get a sense when you can go out and watch them live.

“We have had one defeat in ten and have done well away from home this season, so it is up to us to continue to play like we have been to make sure that run continues.”
