Artell: "Derek Will Introduce His Own Ideas At Morecambe"

21 November 2019

David Artell expects that this weekend’s opponents Morecambe will eventually change direction under their new manager Derek Adams.

Morecambe recently appointed the former Ross County and Plymouth manager to replace the long-standing Jim Bentley following his surprise resignation.

Ahead of this weekend’s fixture at Gresty Road, the boss told us: “Derek has gone in and they have picked up some decent results. I am sure he will do his own thing and get his own ideas across. He will introduce that and they may well go in a different direction or play a different style but I know we will be facing a committed team.

“Those are the players they have and you have earn everything you get against a team like Morecambe.

“We will have to make sure we are ready for those critical moments in both boxes. We will have to stand up to it and when our own chances come along, we will have to take them.

“We had a disappointment result last weekend at Northampton. The performance was okay but we need to be better and we go again on Saturday.”
