David Artell expects his Crewe Alexandra side to bounce back from two disappointing losses to Port Vale and Northampton by collecting three home points from Morecambe this weekend. Artell takes charge against his former club without them having his close friend Jim Bentley in the opposition dugout.
The Shrimpers have recently appointed the former Ross County and Plymouth boss, Derek Adams, as the man to succeed the legendary Bentley, who resigned to join AFC Fylde.
Adams has already guided Plymouth to promotion from this division.
Ahead of his weekend’s home clash, the Alex boss said: ”We haven’t won in three league games now. In there was a hard fought goalless draw against Colchester but we have lost two and we have to put that right.
“We have been on a terrific run but have suffered a little blip. It happens. Look at Exeter, they have been the best team we have faced this season and they are in a bigger dip than us.
“What we need to do is make sure it stops at the weekend. We need to put it to bed by making sure we win against Morecambe on Saturday.”
