'Forest Green Are A Stable Club Heading In The Right Direction'

26 November 2019

David Artell has a lot of respect for his opposite number this evening, Mark Cooper, and the way he likes his team to play.

Crewe face second placed Forest Green Rovers this evening with a potential winner going top of the table. It is our game in hand after the original fixture was postponed back in October due to a water logged pitch.

Ahead of another top of the table clash for the Alex, the boss stated: “I am expecting a good game of football.

“Mark likes his teams to play the right way and they are a good team. I like Mark and have a lot of respect for him and for the way he wants his teams to play.

“They reached the play-offs last season and only their discipline killed them in the end. They had a man sent off in each of the semi-final games against Tranmere and that makes things difficult for anyone.

“They are a stable club and Mark has been there for a while now and he has implemented his philosophy on the club.

The Alex boss added: “I think it will one of the best football matches we will see in the lower leagues and it is the games you want to be involved in as a player, manager or supporter.”
