"Eddie Will Be Back When He Is Back"

25 November 2019

David Artell brings us up to date on his treatment room.

David Artell has told the club’s official website that he is pleased that his treatment room is not overly busy as we enter a busy period of games, but he admits that any team would miss centre-halves, Olly Lancashire and Eddie Nolan.

Lancashire is ruled out until the New Year with an Achilles injury, while Nolan has not featured since rolling his ankle against Everton Under-21s in the Football League Trophy. He has subsequently picked up a slight calf strain.

Youngsters Rio Adebisi and Lewis Reilly both have minor injuries.

David told the club’s official website: “We have a long-term injury with Olly. We have had a medium term with Eddie and two minor ones with Rio and Lewis.

“We knew Olly would be out until the New Year, so that is why we moved for Christian (Mbulu) when we did. He is progressing well. He says he is feeling better and heading in the right direction and that is all you can hope for at this stage.

“Eddie has had this type of injury before, so it is nothing new for him to deal with it. He had it last season and he will be back when he is back.

“Rio has rolled his ankle and Lewis should be back in a week or two, so the treatment room is relatively good, but we would like them all back with us. We miss all players when they are injured because they all have a part to play.”
