Following on from yesterday's FA Cup news, David Artell told the club’s official website that he’s taking each game as it comes and wants to make sure his squad keeps winning football matches.
The boss said: “It is great that we are going to be on TV! We will find out next Tuesday who we will be up against and we will cross that bridge when we come to it. First of all, we’ve got a tough set of fixtures to tackle before then.”
Artell knows the importance of what this TV deal will financial mean for the club but insists it won’t affect his planning.
He added: “It doesn’t play on my mind, but it is very important, and I know the value of it. Both metaphorically and physically involving the actual figure. We just have to keep trying to win more games to generate more money for this football club.
“Whether it is TV money, gate receipts, merchandise on match days or sponsorships. We’ve got to make the product of Crewe Alexandra Football Club more attractive.”
