Crewe Alexandra would like to thank Whitby Morrison after they offered to provide hospitality for a number of veterans attending our derby fixture with Port Vale tomorrow.

As part of our annual Remembrance fixture, a group of veterans will be attending the game at The Alexandra Stadium and now they will be able to enjoy our pre-match hospitality thanks to Whitby Morrison.

Operations Director at Whitby Morrison Ed Whitby said: “We recognise that we have a responsibility to the community and it’s important that we recognise and respect those who have given far more than we ever dare take.”

Commercial and Marketing Manager at Crewe Alexandra James Beckett added: “We’re all very grateful to Ed and the team at Whitby Morrison for this gesture.

“Our Remembrance fixture is always a special day and by providing hospitality for the veterans in attendance we are making the day that bit more special.”
