Ng Focussed On Crewe Rather Than Speculation

8 May 2019

Perry Ng says that he doesn’t think too far ahead in his future and he is solely focussed on returning to the gym in readiness in for next season.

Of course, the double Player-of-the-Year will have a deserved holiday first.

Ng, 23, has recently captained the side in the absence of George Ray and signed a new three-year deal last summer.

The Liverpool-born defender has had another consistent season from his 49 appearances and is expected to attract interest from higher up the football pyramid this summer. Ng says he does not take much notice of speculation.

Perry told the club’s official web-site: "You hear a lot of rumours but I hate hearing it, I'd rather not know.

"I'm contracted to Crewe for another two years so unless something big changes I'll still be here.

"If I wasn't happy here I wouldn't have signed in the first place. I'm happy if I stay it doesn't bother me at all, I'm very relaxed about it.

"I'm pleased I've played nearly every game this season, it was one of my targets to stay injury free. But I need to keep fit and strong over the summer so I can do it again next year.

He added: "I need a good few weeks in the gym and then I'll be flying next year."
