Former Crewe Alexandra defender Michael Raynes has signed a permanent deal with Hartlepool United in the National League.
The 31-year-old has left Gresty Road this summer with his contract set to expire in June & he will join the Monkey Hangers for the new season having enjoyed the second half of last season on loan at Victoria Park.
Raynes joined Crewe in summer 2017 on a two-year-deal after turning down fresh terms at Carlisle United & made 34 appearances in his debut season.
But he fell down the pecking order ahead of the 2018/19 campaign & made just six appearances in the first half of the season before being allowed to move out on loan.
Everyone at Crewe Alexandra would like to thank Michael for his service & wish him good luck at Hartlepool.
