Crewe Alexandra have activated a one-year extension clause in midfielder Paul Green's contract & he will remain with the Club until the end of the 2019/20 season.
The 36-year-old penned a one-year permanent deal at the Alexandra Stadium in summer 2018 after enjoing a six-month loan spell in 2017/18.
Green is in line to make his 46th Crewe appearance in the final day match at Grimsby, having played on 20 occasions on his initial loan spell & 25 during the 2018/19 campaign.
The veteran former Rotherham United, Derby County & Leeds United man moved to Gresty Road from Oldham Athletic in January 2018 before agreeing a permanent move that summer following his release by The Latics.
He's scored two goals for the Alex, a penalty in the 4-1 win at Lincoln City last season & a coolly taken strike in the 6-1 rout of Crawley Town in March this year.
Though he missed most of the first half of the current season through an injury picked up at Carlisle United in August, Greeny returned to the side to play an instrumental role in the upturn in form that saw the Alex go on a run of one defeat in ten games over the turn of the year.
Everyone at the Club would like to congratulate Paul on his extended deal.
