David Artell admits that he does not know one way or another if Perry Ng will be at Crewe Alexandra when we kick off the new season again in August.
Ng’s consistent season saw him named the supporters and players’ Player of the Year and he was named captain in the absence of George Ray for the run-in.
The Crewe Alexandra boss said: “I wouldn’t be surprised if someone wanted to sign Perry and it wouldn’t surprise me if he was still here. I really don’t know what will happen.
“It is still early days and then suddenly it can snowball. I wouldn’t be surprised either way with Perry because he is certainly capable of stepping up. He probably deserves a move for the two seasons he has had with us but you can never say never with these things.
He added: “I am certainly not tipping him for a move because I think the likes of Charlie Kirk and Ryan Wintle would come into that as well after the season’s they have had too.”
