Lee Bell's Crewe Alexandra Under 18s recorded a 1-1 draw with Watford at Reaseheath in the their latest U18 Professional Development League 2 match.
A second half own goal brought The Alex onto level terms after the visitors held the lead at half-time.
That first half goal came from a flowing Watford move & was eventually struck low into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
The Alex put in a positive performance but had to rely on a spot of luck to score, a right win corner being touched on by Matty Fenton before hitting a Hornets defender on the leg & ending up in the corner of the net.
The 18s have four matches remaining, starting with a long trip to Ipswich on Saturday.
