Crewe Alexandra midfielder James Jones could be involved for the club’s Under-23s at Millwall on Tuesday. Jones has successfully made a return to full training now and the club believe he is ready for some game time as he steps up his return from his ankle ligament injury.
Jones has worked exceedingly hard on his rehabilitation with first head physio Mark Cornish and then sports scientist Liam Anderson.
David Artell told the club’s official website: “James has trained for the last few days. He has had a couple of non-contact days but he is fully back with us now.
“He had a bit of bone bruising on his foot which set him back a touch but he has had a scan and everything is fine. He has been told by the experts that he can push on and that is what he is done.
“We all think he could be ready for a game and he could be involved at Millwall on Tuesday.
“He will train again today and we will go from there.”
