Goalkeeper Dave Richards is the worthy recipient of the club’s PFA Community Champion for the 2018/19 season.
The work that David Artell, the staff and players do within the local community has been recognised by the PFA and Richards has attended the most community led events and presentations this season. Richards’ continuous coaching of young children and his willingness to make himself available to enter schools has seen him as the worthy recipient of the PFA award for this season.
Ray Walker and his staff at the Soccer Centre would like to congratulate Dave on his award and they would like to personally thank all the Crewe players and staff for their support of community based activities during the year.
Dave will receive his PFA award from Ray before the end of the season, so make sure you give him recognition of the great work he does in the local community.
Ray Walker said: “We really appreciate the support of all the Crewe Alex players and management. We feel as a small family club, it’s so important the players get out and about visiting the local community groups and organisations.
“This year’s PFA ‘Community Champion’ has been outstanding, giving up his time to take part in different events throughout the local community. I would like to thank Dave and the rest of the squad for all their work in supporting us this this season and to the PFA for their continued support.”
