David Artell says that dialogue between Jordan Bowery and his representatives will continue shortly but the Crewe Alexandra boss says that time is very much on our side.

Artell admits that he spoke to the centre-forward and his agent before Christmas and that talks are set to resume in April.

Artell told crewealex.net: “Dialogue with Jordan and his agent will continue. I spoke with his agent before Christmas and he said let’s see where we are in March and April at the time, so I am sure we will talk again soon.

“Jordan is a great lad and his agent is a good guy, he is good.

“There is still time and these things take time. I don’t see it as a problem because there is still six weeks before the season ends and then there is May anyway.

“I am sure we will talk again and keep on talking. I am sure there will come a crunch time but time is on our side. We are a bit like Teresa May on this one that it is a bit out of control. We’ll just have to see what happens.”
