Crewe Alexandra defenders Nicky Hunt and Aaron Taylor-Sinclair are both fit and available for this weekend’s home game against Crawley Town thus easing the loss of the suspended captain George Ray and the fact that Jamie Sterry has been recalled by Newcastle United.

The experienced Hunt was named on the substitutes’ bench for the mid-week trip to Cambridge and Taylor-Sinclair made his debut for the club as a sub against Oldham. The on-loan Motherwell defender would have started at left-back against Northampton but for an untimely injury. His place went to Sterry on the day when Harry Pickering was ruled out late on.
