Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell says he is only focussed on offering midfielder Ryan Wintle a new contract at the moment.
Wintle, 22, has already amassed 92 appearances for the club and was a real contender for the club’s player of the season awards last time out after appearing in 50 games and scoring twice from his holding midfield role.
The former Alsager Town man is one Artell wants to secure as soon as possible after he has navigated his way through the summer transfer window.
The Crewe boss told crewealex.net: “Ryan is one we are looking at when it comes to offering a new contract. He is the one that is next on our list.
“We will speak in due course and at this moment in time we are not focussing on anyone else. It’s Ryan first.”
