Lunt Eyes Another Centre-Half To Make It Four Challenging For Two Spots

13 June 2019

Kenny Lunt has told the club’s official website that we would be interested in signing another centre-half after losing Captain George Ray and Michael Raynes this summer. Crewe have already signed Olly Lancashire from Swindon Town but our assistant manager believes that we will need another to challenge Lancashire, Eddie Nolan and the emerging Billy Sass-Davies.

Kenny told the club’s official website: “We have been able to bring two in and we are happy to have done that early. They are in place for when we return on a full-time basis at the end of the month.

“With Olly and Daniel (Powell) we have the right quality for the right money. We are in no rush to add more at the moment but we know we could do with another centre-half.

“We have signed one, we have Eddie and young Billy came in and did well towards the end of last season, but we could do with one more in that area but like with everything we’ll have to wait and see.”
