Assistant manager, Kenny Lunt, has hailed the Crewe Alexandra dressing room and says that the strong team spirit will play a major factor again next season.
Lunt says that the large number of late goals we scored in the second half of the season was partly down to fitness and more to do with a never-say-die attitude and spirit.
Kenny told crewealex.net: “We have a few leaders inside the dressing room, especially through the spine of the team.
“It is a good changing room and the spirit is good. I think that is why we managed to score so many late goals last season. It certainly helps and you could see how everyone celebrated those goals against the likes of Newport and Carlisle.
“We are all in it together and the fans have been brilliant. They play an important part in that as well and were unbelievable when the likes of Will and Billy made their debuts. I think they cheered every touch they had.
“The fans have renewed their season tickets and that is fantastic to see. We cannot thank them enough. Hopefully we can all enjoy a successful season.”
