Bowery Signs For MK Dons After Rejecting New Contract

11 June 2019

Crewe Alexandra can confirm that forward Jordan Bowery will leave the club this summer after rejecting a new contract. The 27-year-old from Nottingham had been deliberating over his future since the season climaxed at the beginning of May but his representative has now presented clarity on his future.

The former Chesterfield and Aston Villa man wishes to seek a fresh challenge at newly promoted MK Dons and Crewe Alexandra can only thank him for his service over the last two and half seasons.

After initially signing on loan from Leyton Orient in Janaury 2017, Bowery went on to score twice in 19 appearances and assisted in many more for his then strike partner Chris Dagnall. The partnership played a significant part in keeping Crewe Alexandra safe from a relegation scrap.

Over the last two seasons, Bowery, scored 20 goals in 89 appearances and won the club’s goal of the season for his strike away at Stevenage last season.

Everyone at Crewe Alexandra would like to thank Jordan for his contribution and we wish him every success in his future career in the game.
