Boss: "We Won't Be Standing Still"

27 June 2019

Boss expects to be a lot busier in the next three to four weeks in the summer market.

David Artell says that it is important that we ‘keep on progressing as a club and not stand still’. The Crewe Alexandra manager has already been able to purchase defender Olly Lancashire and forward Daniel Powell this summer and he is on the look-out for more reinforcements to strengthen his options.

The transfer window is beginning to move more frequently now as players start to return for pre-season training.

David told the club’s official website: “The next few weeks will see a lot more movement. We are in no major rush and I think the two that we have bought in so far will improve us.

“We were just two wins off the play-offs last season but we don’t just sit back and accept that. We cannot afford to stand still. We have to replicate our home form and try to better it if we can and then get more wins away from home.

“We still have a bit of a way to go but over the next three or four weeks, we will see where we are able to get to.”
