Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell has told the club’s official website that he is more than happy with the business we have been able to conduct so far.

Artell has moved quickly to sign Olly Lancashire and Daniel Powell this summer and he says that the staff will continue to monitor the market to add to his squad.

The Crewe boss told the club’s official website: “I am happy with the business we have done so far. We wanted a centre half and a forward and we have got them. They were high on our list, so we feel we are in good position.

“The prove will be in the pudding, like all signings over 46 league games, but we are pleased with the two we have got in. They both have good pedigree, played at a higher level and are a good age. They were all factors and they are both good people as well, so we worked hard at it to make it happen.”
