"Aaron Taylor-Sinclair Is Right Up There On Our List Of Full-Backs"

13 June 2019

Crewe Alexandra’s assistant manager, Kenny Lunt, has not ruled out the possibility of left-back Aaron Taylor-Sinclair returning on a full-time basis. The Scotland-born full-back is a free agent after leaving Motherwell and Lunt has asked his agent, our former defender, Colin Murdock, to keep us in the loop this summer.

Taylor-Sinclair, 28, signed on loan in January and made 8 appearances for the club as he acted as cover for the injured Harry Pickering. The former Doncaster Rovers, Plymouth and Wigan man also scored two goals against Cheltenham Town and Notts County.

Kenny told the club’s official website: “It all comes down to what we need and if we have to look at another left-back then Aaron is one we would certainly look at. He came on loan last season and did well for us.

“His agent is Colin Murdock, someone we know well, and we have asked to be kept informed this summer.

“The problem we have at full-back is that we would have to go some to find two better than Perry Ng and Harry Pickering. If we got one in on loan they would expect to go straight in and play and that is difficult to do with the two players we have in those positions.

“In some ways Aaron came in as cover for Pixie last season but he settled in well and he did really well for us.

He added: “On our list of full-backs, Aaron is right up there. “
