David Artell will hand his pre-season trialists a chance to impress during Saturday’s pre-season game at Nantwich Town.

The Alex boss is keen to watch the trialists in live action before he decides whether to offer any of them a contract.

Four trialists have been training with the club since we started back last week and they will get the opportunity to play some part against the Dabbers this weekend.  

Artell told the club’s official webiste: “We have a few lads on trial and we’ll try to give everyone a game.

“They’ll need to play in a game, and we need to see them for long enough to make sure we’ve had a good look at them.

"I think they understand that. If they don’t and they want to go somewhere else that’s fine too.

He added: “We are looking at a whole raft of different players and trying to cover as many bases as possible, but the bottom line is whether they are good enough and we have to weigh that up.”
