Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell hopes we can continue to attract young supporters’ to the Football Club through the popular open day. This year’s event will be held at the Alexandra Stadium on Friday 26th July from 10am to 2pm and is free entry for all.
Artell and his staff will conduct a training session on the pitch and there will be an opportunity to meet the players in the Carlsberg Lounge afterwards.
David told the club’s official website: “Having an open day was one of the first things I wanted when I became manager.
"I think it’s great to have all the kids running around with a tiger or whatever painted on their face, having ice cream and having their gran or granddad chasing after them!
“It is what I remember when I was 7 or 8 years old and it stays with you. You remember days like that.
“It is just a great community day and I hope it will entice more kids to come and support the team and become long life fans of the club.”
