Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell says that today’s family fun day represents what the club is all about.
Local businesses have once again come out and supported what is a fantastic day for the community and Artell says that it is always great for him, his players and staff to be accessible to our fans.
The open day kicks off at 10am and youngsters will have the opportunity to watch the first team and women’s team train on the pitch.
The boss told the club’s official website: “It is great that the local businesses support us and that we are able to put his day on for the local community. We are a family based club and this is the work we do.
“We are a major part of the community and we help local businesses with the supporters coming to the games and visiting fans. It works both ways in that respect.
“We are accessible to our fans and the open day plays a big part in that. It is genuinely a really good event and I hope it is well attended again. There is nothing better than gran or granddad chasing their grandchildren around with an ice cream in their hand. “
