Morris: "All Parts Would Have To Fit Nicely For Shaun To Leave This Summer"

10 July 2019

Alex Morris says there has been no change in the future of forward Shaun Miller.

The 31-year-old forward is available on a free transfer this summer after he found it difficult to hold down a regular place in David Artell’s side due to a change of formation in the second half of the season.

Morris, the club’s first team coach says that ‘nothing concrete’ has come in for Miller but that if he was to remain at Crewe for the forthcoming season then the club will only be retaining a good player.

When questioned about Miller’s impending future, an honest Morris told the club’s official website: “As far as I know there has been no change with Shaun. I am not sure what interest there is and at the end of the day, it has to fit right for Shaun.

“He has a contract here and it has to be right for Shaun and his family. It has to be right for us, so we are not left short in that area and it has to be right for the club. To get all those factors to fit nicely, does take some doing but if it does then I am sure the manager and Shaun will have the conversation.

“If it doesn’t then the club have still got a good player, who has played at his level and above for much of his career.

“Shaun has continued to train really well and work really hard. “
