David Artell says that there will be two mixed sides for tonight’s double header friendly games against Witton Albion and Curzon Ashton. The Alex boss will once again utilise the numbers in his squad and will give the majority longer on the pitch.

The two teams will contain both senior and younger players and Artell says it will be another useful run out before Saturday’s only home friendly against Burnley.

David explained: “It will be mixed teams and they will be both be strong. We will mix it up a bit and look at some combinations.

“We will try things out and see who is available. We won’t risk anyone who has a niggle or who hasn’t trained, but there won’t be many missing. We are looking good injury wise.”
