Everton Under 21s will join Crewe Alexandra, Burton Albion & Mansfield Town in Northern Group E of the 2019/20 EFL Trophy.
The draw was conducted live on TalkSport this afternoon to determine which Premier League Category 1 academy sides would join the pre-determined groups of EFL sides.
Group stage matches are due to take place between September & November, with Crewe to play two games at the Alexandra Stadium & one game away from home. The match against Everton U21s will be played at Gresty Road.
Ticket prices & will be announced in due course.
Crewe failed to qualify from the group stage last season, finishing third in group containing Manchester City U21s, Tranmere Rovers & Shrewsbury Town.
