Crewe Alexandra midfielder Ryan Wintle has signed a brand new two-year-contract with the Football Club.

The 22-year-old had 12 months remaining on his previous deal, with Manager Dave Artell moving quickly to tie his man down until summer 2021.

Wintle was the runner-up for the 2018/19 Player of the Season award and has been rewarded for his fine performances with the new deal.

Since taking the job in January 2017, Artell has been keen not to let his key players run into the final year of their contracts & this signing further indicates the importance on rewarding players that excel.

Wintle played 50 games in all competitions last season, contributing two goals. He has made a total of 92 Crewe appearances since joining the Club as a scholar from Alsager Town in January 2015.
