Crewe Alexandra manager, David Artell, says the club are ready to move again in the summer transfer market if the right player comes along.
The Alex boss has already signed two new players, in defender Olly Lancashire and forward Daniel Powell and he has admitted that he wants another centre-half and centre-forward.
David told the club’s official website: “We are in position to see what is out there and we are ready to move if the right one comes along. We will be ready.
“When it happens is difficult to say. We could be in discussions for four or five weeks or even longer sometimes or you can do a deal in 12 hours. It all depends.
“We will just have to see what becomes available and make our move. Deals can fall through and players can realise that they are not part of their manager’s plans and suddenly that move to Crewe becomes even more attractive.
He added: “That is the recruitment game and we are set to bring players in.”
