David Artell says he will not be taking any risks in our final warm up game of the summer. The Alex boss says that any player with any sort of niggle or who represents a slight doubt will not be considered for our final friendly at Wrexham.
The Alex only have an injury concern over defender Olly Lancashire as we prepare for the opening day of the season at home to Plymouth.
The Alex boss told the club’s official website: “We will look at the squad and decide who will travel to Wrexham. We will see how they are and how they are feeling. If any of them have a niggle or a slight knock then we won’t be risking them.
“We have a busy period of games coming up in August and we want as many players fit and available as possible because there will be a few Saturday-Tuesdays in there.
“We just have the one injury worry at the moment so that is good. You want to get through pre-season with few injuries or knocks as possible.”
