Boss delight with support shown once again when it comes to season ticket sales.
David Artell says the backing shown by the club’s fan base has given everyone a terrific lift ahead of the new season.
The club has surpassed last season’s season ticket total at this stage of the summer and Artell hopes we can provide the same value for money at our home games again this season. Crewe had the joint best home record in League Two last season.
Artell is absolutely delighted with the level of support already shown.
He told the club’s official website: “I want what is best for the football club and I want our fans to enjoy their Saturday afternoons as much as possible. They spent their hard earned money to come and support us.
“I would say that the home supporters got value for money last season by the number of games we won. We have to try and at least emulate that.
“The away fans spent even more money travelling all across the country to watch us. They show great effort and endeavour to do that and we didn’t win enough games for them on the road. We need to improve that.
“We have a chance of having a good season and like I’ve said before, the fans have been terrific with me ever since I took over. They have shown that loyalty again with the number of season tickets we have sold and I cannot thank them enough.”
