The Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell believes that the deal that has seen Brad Walker sign permanently for Shrewsbury Town this week is a good one for all parties involved.
Walker instantly signed back on loan with National League side Wrexham to conclude the season because he is not permitted to play for three clubs in the same season.
The former Hartlepool United midfielder has performed admirably at the Racecourse Ground and has now followed his former manager at Wrexham, Sam Ricketts to the League One side.
Artell told crewealex.net: “I think it is a good move for all parties. Brad will join a League One side from next season and continue his development at Wrexham.
“We have a player off our wage bill and a few bob in the bank as well. I wouldn’t stand in a player’s way if he wants to leave, especially if they are not part of the plans, so I think it is a good transfer all round.”
