Crewe Alexandra Under 18s lost out 4-0 to Burnley at Alexandra Park Training Complex in their latest U18 PDL2 clash.
The Clarets took advantage of a lucky rebound to score the opener in the first half, with the striker tucking home a loose ball after a shot from a team-mate had come back off the post.
A cleverly worked free-kick routine helped to make it 2-0 at half-time, with a back-heel & then low driven shot finding it's way into the corner from 20-yards.
It was three when the visitors finished off a melee inside the box as Crewe failed to clear from a set-piece situation.
The final goal of the game came from a passing team-move, the ball eventually falling into to a Clarets player on the edge of the box who fired left-footed high into the top corner.
The Alex now sit in seventh place in the ten-team northern section of the league.
