'The Great Challenges Can Produce The Great Performances'

18 January 2019

David Artell says that recording our second away win of the season at promotion chasing MK Dons would be perfect place to get our away form going.

Artell appreciates that his Crewe side go into the game in the Milton Keynes as massive underdogs with the bookmakers but the Alex have lost just one in five over the holiday period.

Ahead of our meeting with Paul Tisdale’s side, the Alex boss told us: “We had a great victory against Newport last week and that gave us a lift but that has gone now. We move on.

“We have lost one in five and the one we lost; we outplayed Bury for 45 minutes, but then didn’t cope very well with the best player in the league.

“MK Dons is a tough place to go. They have a good manager in Paul (Tisdale) and a good team but from the greatest of challenges come the greatest of performances.

The boss added: “We need to improve our away form and not let it define our season. If we can win at MK Dons then that could us an incredible lift. We have to make sure our mini run continues.”
