David Artell says that any movement involving Brad Walker is still on-going but the Crewe boss has admitted that he has given the former Hartlepool United man permission to speak to other clubs in the January window.
Walker has enjoyed a successful time on loan at Wrexham, who are keen to extend that arrangement and keep the player. An another club have also expressed an interest in the midfielder.
If Walker cannot finalise his future either on loan or by signing permanently elsewhere then we would return Crewe Alexandra.
David told the club’s official website: “The dealings with Brad are on-going and we’ll have to see what happens with that. He has permission to speak to other clubs from us and that is where we are at. It is as simple as that.
“When we are in a position to provide an update then we will but it looks as though his future may be away from the Football Club.”
