Boss Does Not Expect Any More To Leave

30 January 2019

David Artell remains optimistic that he won’t be losing any of his main assets during the January window. The Crewe boss believes that the likes of Perry Ng and George Ray and a few of the younger ones may well be on the radar of other clubs  - but Artell remains quietly confidence that he will be able to keep his in-form team together.

Artell admits that we would not be surprised if scouts from potential suitors had watched his players in action but the Crewe boss says that there were still good players before our recent run of good form.

The boss told us: “I’m sure people have watched us because they are good players.

“They were good players six months ago, but we win a few games and everyone thinks they are better players.

“Hopefully, we will win a few more before the end of the season and other clubs will think they are even better in the summer.

He added: “I don’t envisage any more going out before the window closes but you never know in this game.”
