Artell Looks Forward To MK Dons Challenge

17 January 2019

David Artell is expecting an entertaining game of football when he takes his Crewe Alexandra side to promotion chasing MK Dons this weekend. The Crewe Alexandra manager is a keen admirer of Paul Tisdale from his work with Exeter City in the past and now with MK Dons and he says that it will be more of a football game this weekend.

Ahead of our visit to the Stadium MK, Artell told the club’s official website: “It will be a good spectacle because I don’t think MK Dons under Paul’s leadership will just whack it. They will play football and they have very good players. They will be looking to get out of the division this season.

“I have always been an admirer of Paul and the way he wants his teams to play. They always try to play the right way and he built a very good team at Exeter.

“It is a lovely stadium to play at and the pressure will be on them as the home side but there would be no greater way to get our away form back on track with a result there. Our away record has been poor and has cost us too many points, so it would be perfect to get and up and running against one of the best teams in the division.”
