Crewe Alexandra defender Michael Raynes has returned to the Club from his loan at Hartlepool United to undergo rehabilitation on an achillies injury.

The 31-year-old picked up the problem in Pools' 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient & is set to be sidelined for around eight weeks.

Raynes has come back to Reaseheath for treatment, but will return to Hartlepool to complete his loan spell when declared fit & ready for a return to training.

He has made three appearances for Pools so far, making his debut in a defeat to Harrogate Town before helping the side to a victory over Braintree Town prior to the O's draw.
