Porter Looking For Alex To Bounce Back Against Northampton

28 February 2019

Chris Porter is hoping he can continue his good form in front of goal against Keith Curle’s Northampton Town side this weekend Porter’s header in the 2-1 defeat by Exeter City was his 8th goal in his last 11 games and he will be hoping to add to the tally against the Cobblers as Crewe aim to bounce back from their first defeat in eight games.

Porter appreciates that he could be in for a physical battle with Northampton because he knows from experience how competitive and well-drilled a Keith Curle team can be.

Ahead of our meeting at the weekend at Gresty Road, Porter said of Northampton: “Keith Curle has been around, knows the game inside out, had a great career himself and I've a lot of respect for him. He's always said good things me, and it'll be a tough game they are a good side and have picked up a few results of late.

“At home we have been very good so we will be looking for three points.”
