"No-One Here Gets Carried Away"

5 February 2019

Kenny Lunt says that no-one at Crewe Alexandra has got carried away with our recent improvement in results.

Lunt has been a superb servant of the Football Club for many years as a player, youth coach and now as David Artell’s assistant manager. He appreciates that the mood rarely changes when things are going well or not so well and that is a good trait to have going forward.

Lunt, who helped Crewe enjoy eight seasons as a Championship club before he left to join Sheffield Wednesday in 2006, told the club’s official website: “It is important not to get too high when things are going well and not too low when they are not. I think we are good at that at Crewe.

“No-one is getting carried away because you never know what is around the corner in this game. You can get a decision go against you on a Saturday and suddenly you have lost a game you shouldn’t have.

“This team is capable of keeping our good run going. They are in a good streak of results but they also know they have to keep working hard to maintain it.

“It is about keeping a level head and carrying on our good run of form with a positive result at Macclesfield on Saturday.”
