Loan Watch đź‘€: Raynes Stands Out & Reilly Scores Again

12 February 2019

How The Alex players out on loan got on over the weekend

Michael Raynes was one of the standout performers for Hartlepool United as they held high-flying Leyton Orient to a 1-1 draw in the National League.

Pools could've won it late on, but missed a penalty in a game where Raynes' dominance & leadership at the back played a big role in keeping the O's quiet.

In the National League North, Lewis Reilly continued his fine scoring streak notching yet again as Curzon Ashton came from 2-0 down at half-time to beat Alfreton Town 3-2 at home.

There was disappointment for Billy Sass-Davies as his FC United of Manchester side lost a fifth straight game to fall second bottom in the table. Billy played 90 minutes of the narrow 2-1 reverse to Altrincham.

Josh Lundstram too got 90 minutes under his belt for Nuneaton Borough, but they remain marooned at the foot of the table after a heavy 5-1 home defeat to Boston United.

Nantwich Town lost ground in their bid for promotion in the Evo-Stik Premier Division, falling to fourth in the league after a 2-1 defeat to rivals Farsley Celtic - Will Jasskelainen kept goal for the Dabbers.
