Green: "We Cannot Dwell On Drop Points From Saturday"

11 February 2019

Experienced midfielder, Paul Green, knows that Crewe Alexandra should have collected all three points at Macclesfield Town but he says it is important we quickly move on from the disappointment of that 3-3 draw with our Cheshire neighbours.

The turnaround of games is quick this week as we get set to welcome Steven Pressley’s Carlisle United to the Alexandra Stadium tomorrow evening.

Paul told the club’s official website: “When you score three goals you should really win the game and it was a lost opportunity but there were still positives to take from it.

“We didn’t lose the game and we remain unbeaten. We scored three goals and created a lot of chances. Their goalkeeper has made some fantastic saves as well.

“We cannot dwell on it too much. We have to move on. We have another tough game against Carlisle on Tuesday night and it is a big game for both clubs. We want the points to get us back in there.

He added: “We have to keep our run of games going and Tuesday is another opportunity for us to do that. “
