Crewe Alexandra defender Eddie Nolan has penned a new two-year-contract to tie him to the Club until summer 2021.
The 30-year-old's previous deal was due to expire in the summer, but Manager Dave Artell has moved swiftly to tie down one his key defensive stalwarts.
Nolan joined the Alex in summer 2017, signing an initial one-year-deal, having been released by Blackpool. He excelled in his first season at Gresty Road, making 47 appearances on his way to picking up the Player of the Season & Players' Player of the Season awards.
'Steady Eddie' subsequently had an option in his contract triggered for the current 2018/19 campaign & has continued his fine form, appearing in 23 games so far, scoring once.
Manager David Artell has made no secret of the fact that he considers Nolan to be a key member of his squad & he can now move on to other targets after securing the long-term future of one of his main men.
Congratulations to Eddie on earning his new & improved contract.
