Artell: "We Shouldn't Be Fearing Anyone At The Moment"

15 February 2019

Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell believes that his team should ‘fear no-one’ in League Two after their recent good run of form has seen them defeat promotion candidates, Lincoln, Colchester, MK Dons and most recently Carlisle United.

Crewe travel to Boundary Park this weekend aiming to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches and Artell says his in-form side should embrace the challenge.

He told crewealex.net:  “We shouldn’t fear anyone. We have certainly shown at home that we don’t fear anyone by the results we have had all season. I think it is fair to say that if you have bought a season ticket this season you have had your value for money.

“We have been terrific at home in most of the games and we are now three unbeaten away as well. We have to try and keep that going at Oldham this weekend. It is another tough game and they have a new manager, so that only adds to the occasion.

“We respect all our opponents and Oldham is one of the few sides that have won at our ground this season, so there is that to consider as well. We respect them and we know that Paul (Scholes) will get even more from them, but we shouldn’t feat them.

“All we have to do it play like we did at the MK Dons or for the majority of the game at Macclesfield minus the mistakes. If we can do the same then we have a good chance of getting a result.”
