Boss: "Players Have Coped With Everything Thrown At Them Over The Last Couple Of Months"

8 February 2019

Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell says that his team have shown over the last couple of months that if they play to their potential that they can beat any team in this division. Crewe have recently beaten league leaders, Lincoln City, promotion hopefuls Colchester United and won away at MK Dons to only enhance the growing belief inside the Crewe dressing room.

The Alex now head to neighbours Macclesfield Town this weekend with the aim of keeping our mini-run going.

David told the club’s official website: “I have said before that if the players play to their potential then we can beat anyone in this league. We have shown that against Lincoln, or when we won away at MK Dons and then coming from behind to beat Newport and Colchester at home.

“If the belief is there then we can compete against the best. We have had plenty of those successes lately and we have to keep it going.

“It doesn’t matter what the players’ have had thrown at them they have responded and come through it. Teams like Stevenage and Newport have tried to bully us a bit and we came through. We have also had proper football game at MK Dons and were the better side and deserved to win that on too. We were terrific that day and now we have to go and show it again.”
